Hello again everyone, it's been a while since our last big announcements! We've got some fun things to talk about including a new Creator Contest, our next steps as a company, and some teases for our next steps with Buddy Simulator.

Creator Contest 2: Electric Buddyloo

To celebrate Buddy Simulator's 6th month anniversary, we are holding our second Creator Contest! From those of you that were here for the first, it's going to be quite similar with just a few tweaks and some better prizes! The Buddy Sim Creator Contest 2 is all about freedom of expression! This time around, there will be no categories at all. You can make whatever your heart desires, with exceptions to the rules of course. If you are having troubles coming up with things to create, here are some example past categories that were quite popular: digital art, hand drawings, fan fiction, short stories, music, crafts, Discord emojis and stickers. Please read all of the rules below before submitting. The winners will receive some great prizes with the grand prize being a brand new Buddy Sim poster that will be signed by the devs! Check out the poster below! 

Rules:

1. Submissions start August 18th and end September 18th

2. You can submit past forms of media you have made if you'd like, but try making something new!

3. Please limit yourself to only 2 entries for the contest and please keep it Buddy Sim related

4. In order to be counted for the contest, you either MUST use the hashtag #BSCC2 on Twitter or submit your art to our Discord or in the Steam Community Hub

5. Nothing NSFW please. Other than that, go wild and use your imagination!

6. You have our permission to use any and all Buddy Simulator related content, art, and assets only for your submissions

7. The Devs will vote of their Top 4 favorite that will receive prizes and the community will vote for the Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a signed copy of our new Buddy Simulator poster seen above

Not a Sailor Studios

We have been taking the past few months to work on bug fixes, prepare for the future, and most importantly relax a bit (a lot). The team has been playing all sorts of new games and enjoying time with family and friends. But, we've always got that looming question in the back of our minds. What now? 

After 6 months of Buddy Simulator being released onto Steam and countless reviews and videos online, we are happy to say that the game has been a success. What does that mean for us now? Not a Sailor Studios will continue working on projects as a company and are extremely excited to do so! We also want to take more time into account when working on our next project instead of rushing right into things. We've made a lot of mistakes in the past and we've learned so much from them.

Yes, we will be making another game, but this time we are going to make sure we give it the time, love, and care it deserves without crunching and losing sleep over it. Don't worry, you all will be the first to know about any teases, updates, or big announcements about our work! All of this could not be possible without the love and support from the community. You all make making games worth it. We love you all more than you could ever know. Thank you everyone :)

What's Next?

There are a lot of things we want to focus on next, but Buddy Simulator post release content is our number one priority at the moment. So what's next? We can't say too much, but check out our Discord for a little tease on what we hopefully can work towards in the future! Stay tuned...
