This game has SO MUCH potential. I was just watching JackSepticEye play this and idea we’re zooming through my head.
Since taxes are yearly, imagine if you stated at 18 and ended at 60 and aged up each time u went through your taxes.
Taxes change as you get older, as you get married, as you have kids, as you own a house, as you own a car, as you get promoted or demoted. As you get an education or make donations.
In between stacks of mail you have life choices to make that effect next years taxes. You can be honest and do your taxes accurately or you can fudge them and hope not to be audited and/or go to jail. Game over. You can hope you don’t get caught embezzling at your work or else, game over. You could owe in taxes and get your wages garnished until you have nothing left. Game over. You could skip child support until they take you to court and you owe more than you have. Game over.
You can fall for scam mail and get your identity stolen. You could skip car payment, light bills, cell phone bills, trying to save money and risking consequence.
This game can go so much further than what it is. SO MUCH further and for a price! I’d pay to play that game! Someone run with it, please!
Gosh, what a marvelous little game. It looks and feels so polished and thought-through and I love that it’s such a simple idea executed perfectly. Just all in all a great idea delivered on a silver plate with a cherry on top :)
1. Download the Windows version. 2. Get a Crossover. (Crossover is paid, so maybe you could try Wineskin Winery, but Crossover is more stable.) 3. While opened crossover, press Command+O. 4. Choose "A game about your literally doing your taxes.exe" in a folder. Run it.
It should work fine. At least try it. one more thing, you can get Free trial of Crossover too.
TBH, it was great. I really thought when I first saw your game that it was just going to be a normal game, but the twist makes it more interesting. Keep up the good work, Dev. And you can watch my playthrough here >

Was not expecting anything that happened in this game. I enjoyed every second of it.
wow this game is really good and perfectly describes the experience of doing taxes in a normal environment 10/10 would do taxes again
note to self: games that insist that you wear headphones are either rhythm games or spooky games.
