Wait. This was supposed to be a HORROR game?! Nothing was really scary until the end, and that fear was just like the fear of losing a loved one. I was SO emotionally attached to my buddy. I was really hoping to maybe go on all sorts of adventures, but also just have a chat with my Buddy. Overall, 9/10. I LOVE this game, but now i'm scared about the full version...are some dirty tricks gonna be played on me that will make me lose my buddy? I hope not.

First off, I thought it had bugged on the numbers game until I figured that the game was US if you know what I mean. :D
First bug, I entered my YouTube name Si7ruz. It allowed it, but when I got to the Hangman game, I couldn't pass because only letters were allowed. Perhaps force letters for the users name at the beginning to get past this.
After I restarted and when through it again, after all the games, the command you enter included the same hotkey of my start record / end record key. DOH! By the time I have figured out the video wasn't recording I'd finished the game lol.
Enjoyed it though, just won't be a video on it I'm afraid. Looking forward to the final game. Thanks.
I need help!!! I went to the chamber and onto the keypad, but now I can't leave, and everything I try to do, the game just says "invalid response". I've tried nearly everything, actual numbers, oddly enough, words, and just tried to leave. I can't get away from the keypad and I'm truly STUCK! Nothing I have does anything!

So, in the keypad, after typing something in it, it should have prompted with "Nothing happens. Try again?" So this might sound super obvious (sorry if it is), but I was just curious if nothing happens even when just typing 'no'.
I've seen plenty of game play on this game and even played it myself!I am absolutely in love with this game, it captures the 1900's vibe perfectly! The only thing i'm sad about is my buddy had to leave so soon, which leaves me wondering when the full game will come out? I would love to see the rest of my house!

Hi! I just started playing the game but I think either I broke it or there's a bug. So basically after my buddy and I played 2 games it then "dug out" the Fun With Words game.After that I didn't choose Fun with Words and instead chose Hangman since I wanted to finish all 3 games first.Then after I finished Hangman it then told me to restart the game and it then started up The Adventure Of (My name) game.I saw some Youtubers played this game and when they played it The Adventure Of (My name) game had a story but mine was just stuck there at the first lines of words. I don't know how to fix this but I can tell its a great game from the videos I have seen so far. Other than that, Keep up the good work!

I was watching one of Markipliers new videos that was released and saw him playing this game. I didn't watch him play it but a minute before I paused it and opened up my laptop to experience it myself! This is a true masterpiece and I am so excited for the release. I was super sad when it ended because I just wanted to keep playing! thank you so much for creating such an amazing game and keep up the good work! you guys are awesome! :)

I didn't see anyone else talk about it, so I figured I'd mention it: when my Buddy (Alan) wrote the poem, I noticed some letters were funky, so I jotted down which ones were weird...and was surprised to actually find that they spelled a message! I don't wanna spoil what it said, but now its bugging me why that message would be there...is it a clue for something bigger? I gotta know!!
I started watching this game on Markiplier's channel, but about five minutes into his playthrough, I hit pause and ran to my computer to play it before I spoiled the entire experience for myself. And I'm so glad I did. SUCH CHILLS. MUCH CREEPINESS.
This is such an excellent example of the impact text-based horror can have and such a great use of a demo. I am hooked and will definitely be keeping an eye out for the full release of the game. I would also love to maybe do an interview with your team sometime close to the full game launch if you'd be willing to spare a bit of your time. :)

I saw this game on Markipliers channel, and i loved it. Text based games r my favorite type of games, and this took the cake, pls tell me you are going to make the full game and if u r, try to make the player still think its a demo but have the game "break out" from the demos coding, and create the full game bc u have the game think its already alive as it is. but do what u want, and i can't wait for the full release

Hi. I just made several playthroughs and I love the game. I even got so far to find and unlock the secret chamber easter egg. The only things I haven't worked out is the use for the picture and the other applications of the shovel. I won't be playing the demo any more as I think if explored it to completion, but boi oh boi, did I have a good time. Definitely getting the full game when it comes out.
Playing this has reinvigorated my love for text-based adventure game. All 4 of you game devs are massive legends :)
Hi. Hate to say it, but I'd like to register a complaint. It might just be that I am using a computer that is 2-3 years old and your software doesn't mesh well with my computer, but I am having major issues with this game. At first it ran fine, but once it got to the part where you chose which game to play I played two of them fine, but then the game said I had played all of them, but I still hadn't played hangman. Instead of choosing the new game that was available, I chose to play hangman first. It allowed me to do so, but then the option to play the fourth game disappeared, and when I tried to restart to make it available again, it said that the Unityplayer.dll was not found and that reinstalling might fix it. I went to uninstall and then reinstall the game, but the file did not appear in my control panel's uninstall a program. I can't even uninstall it to try to fix it! I tried just deleting the files in the regedit and then re-downloading the game, but the same issue with the Unityplayer.dll popped up. It is not recognizing the file. What should I do? If you can't fix it, can I just get the dollar I spent to support you guys back? It would have been more, but money is tight right now for me. I'm sure once you get the bugs fixed the game will run great, and I would gladly pay for it again to play a bug free version, but at this time I'm frustrated and just want my money back, or a solution to my issue. How do I uninstall this thing properly and why doesn't it show up in my uninstall programs? Please note, I am not mad at you and I'm sure you are amazing developers who can figure out the answer to my problem. I hope I'm not coming off as rude. Sorry if I am, but I just saw the beginning of Markiplier's video and decided for just the third time in a few years to play one of the games he featured because it looked interesting and potentially cool. It's extremely frustrating when two out of the three times I try a game he features, both times I end up with a glitch that prevents me from playing through the game. The other game wasn't one of yours, so no worries. I realize you may not pay attention to this because I am not a Youtuber, but I wanted you to be aware of this issue, so I hope you can provide me a solution. Thank you for your time. That's a real bummer you're having this problem and I'm so sorry to hear that. :( So the file that's said to be missing (UnityPlayer.dll) actually comes in the .zip file that Buddy Simulator comes in. So it's odd that it's supposedly missing. I would first re-extract the .zip, then try playing again. Also make sure the file UnityPlayer.dll is in the game's folder. Once again, so sorry that this is happening. If there is anything else I can help with just let me know. I'd feel really bad if you can't play, especially since you donated a dollar (seriously, thank you for that). We'll also make note of this. We're currently trying to fix these types of bugs best we can for the full version. So thanks for letting us know!

I have finished the game! Just wow, for the record this is my first game that was text-based and I LOVED IT!!! I was hoping for a bit more horror, but I ended up with warm hearted laugh 4/5, as I was looking for to see that chamber in the house...
I named my buddy Blue and having him ripped away from me was brutal goddamn. I knew I shouldn't get too attached. Really can't wait for the full release now. This is amazing.
I was trying to play this and record it but for some reason it sends my PC into an epileptic fit. Both monitors start to blink in and out. Really want to try this game out!
I feel so empty after playing this demo. I... I had a best friend, and then all of a sudden I didn't anymore. I need to be reunited with my buddy, life is meaningless otherwise!
Ahem.. erm, I mean... hang on.
This was a very cleverly put together game, and every second of it was laced with varying degrees of menace, from the subtle to the brute force obvious.
To put together a text-based game that increases the heart rate and makes all the hairs stand up on the back of your neck takes great writing skill, and this demo has that by the bucketload.
I highly encourage anyone who hasn't given this a try to get it downloaded and played, because everyone's experience will be different! We all have different ideas for what our bestie should be called, what our favourite colours and animals are and birthdays. And that info leads to different paths depending on what you input.
So go ahead, join the fun and get yourself a Buddy today! =)
As for the wonderful devs, keep up the great work!
